Crystals by Color

Color is often the first thing that draws someone to a crystal, and each color carries its own traditional meanings. Here every stone we carry is grouped by its main color, with what that color is linked to and a link to each stone's full guide. Many stones come in more than one color, so a few appear in two sections.

Purple crystals

Purple crystals are linked to the crown and third eye chakras and to quiet, reflective time. Many people keep a purple stone by the bed or on a meditation shelf to mark a calm end to the day.

Pink crystals

Pink crystals are the stones of the heart. They are associated with love, kindness and compassion, including the kindness we owe ourselves, and they are a favorite gift for someone you care about.

Red crystals

Red crystals are linked to the root chakra and are traditionally carried for strength, courage and steady energy. They are often chosen as a reminder to stay grounded when life moves fast.

Orange crystals

Orange crystals belong to the sacral chakra and are loved for creativity, warmth and joy. Many people keep one on a desk or in a workspace to brighten the day.

Yellow and gold crystals

Yellow and golden crystals are linked to the solar plexus chakra, the center of confidence. They are associated with optimism and abundance, which is why citrine is known as the merchant's stone.

Green crystals

Green crystals are associated with growth, renewal and good luck, and with the heart chakra. They are a popular choice for a fresh start, a new job or a sunny windowsill.

Blue crystals

Blue crystals are linked to the throat chakra and to calm, clear communication. They are often chosen for honest conversations, study and quiet focus.

Brown crystals

Brown crystals carry the colors of the earth and are traditionally used for grounding and stability. They are said to help you feel settled and steady, and many have warm, banded patterns.

Black and gray crystals

Black and gray crystals are the classic stones of protection and grounding, linked to the root chakra. Many people keep one by the front door or carry one through a busy day.

White and clear crystals

White and clear crystals are associated with clarity, cleansing and new beginnings, and with the crown chakra. Clear quartz and selenite are also traditionally used to cleanse and charge other stones.

Multicolored crystals

Some stones never settle on one color. Banded agates, patterned jaspers and rainbow aura quartz are loved for their variety, and each one is said to blend the qualities of its colors.
